THREAD LIFT/ SKINTIGHTENING/ FACELIFT TREATMENT
Threadlift is technique that is widely practised in many parts of the world especially Korea and Japan.
It involves the insertion of very fine Polydioxanone (PDO) threads into areas under the skin. PDO threads are widely used in surgery. The threads have cogs which help to anchor and pull up the sagging skin.These help to lift the laugh lines, cheeks and jowls.These PDO threads will stimulate the production of new collagen and fibroblasts thereby causing the sagging skin to become tighter, creating a skin lift.
The result is a firmer, tighter and more radiant skin. The PDO threads will slowly be dissolved and absorbed into the body.
Where can we treat?
Threadlift can be performed anywhere on the body including the face, cheeks, eye corners, eyebrows, neck, laugh lines, forehead and abdomen.
It can help to treat sagging skin, wrinkles, deep creases and folds.
How is the procedure performed?
The area to be treated is numbed with a anaesthetic cream prior to the procedure. The doctor will insert the threads under the skin.
There is very little downtime and the patient can return to work immediately.
Are there any side-effects?
Patients may experience slight pain, bruising, swelling and bleeding.
How long does the effect last?
Usually lasts 1 to 2 years.
