How does it work?

Threadlift is a non-surgical minimally invasive lifting procedure that involves the use of resorbable PDO (Polydioxanone) threads.

How is the Threadlift procedure done?

The face is first numbed with numbing cream and regional face blocks. The threads are inserted under the skin using a blunt flexible cannula which causes minimal pain/ discomfort and almost NO bruising. There are no incisions involved.

The threads have cogs which hook onto the skin. They are tightened to lift up the sagging tissues eg. nasolabial folds, jowls, cheeks, etc.

The facelift results are immediately visible. The threads will be absorbed in 6-8 months but will continue to stimulate collagen. The threadlift can last up to 2 years.

Is there any downtime?

There may be slight swelling, bruising and discomfort which will disappear within 3-5 days.

The threads are made of polydioxanone (PDO).

They are safe and will dissolve over 6 to 9 months but they continue to stimulate collagen and fibrous tissue ensuring the effect lasts 1 to 2 years.

The threads we use have cogs / barbs which help to anchor the threads and have good strength and lifting effect.

How is the procedure done?

The procedure is simple and takes about 15 to 20 mins. to complete.

Numbing cream and local anaesthesia will ensure that the procedure is comfortable and almost painless.

The procedure involves just a small puncture at the tip of the nose.

We use a blunt cannula which ensures very little or no bruising at all.

Any possible side effects for Nose Threadlift?

1. Slight discomfort and swelling is expected the following week but will usually resolve within 1 week.
2. Very low risk of infections.
3. Needle mark which usually resolves in about 1 week.

How many threads are needed?

The total number of threads needed will vary from individual to individual.

Which to choose, Nose threadlift of Nose filler?

Filler is the better choice if your nasal bridge is flat and requires height adjustment.

Nose threadlift is excellent for creating definition and contouring if you are looking for a sharper, straighter and well defined nose.

Of course a combination of both nose filler and nose threadlift may give a more complete and dramatic effect.
