What does it involve?

Spectra Peel consists of the application of carbon lotion followed by the application of a series of gentle laser pulses with 2 distinct sets of laser parameters (Spectra and Q switch mode).

How does it work?

Spectra peel achieves its skin rejuvenating benefits via 2 mechanisms: gentle photo ablation of the outermost epidermis and gentle bio-stimulation of the collagen regeneration and dermal cells associated with skin rejuvenation. Consequently there is improvement of skin texture/tone, pore size and pigmentation with no or minimal downtime.

Aside from skin rejuvenation, Spectra peel is also effective for treatment of acne/pimple. It targets the major acne causes (ie P. acnes, sebaceous glands and follicular hypercornification) in the same treatment. Sebum production is reduced, acne bacterium is targeted and follicular hypercornification is normalized.

Does it hurt?

Treatment is comfortable and feels like a warm prickling sensation. A topical anaesthetic ointment may be applied prior to treatment to allay any discomfort if needed.
